This is a great opportunity for regular part-time work with flexible time commitments.

We welcome university/college students, recent grads or supply teachers with STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math) backgrounds -- AND/OR -- Education backgrounds with strong tech skills or willingness to learn.

We're a fast-growing educational company looking for more extraordinary instructors to introduce technology to school-aged kids (Kindergarten - Grade 8). We introduce kids to coding and technology, both in-class and after school, using a combination of software, apps and super fun tech toys.

You will be matched with another adult instructor and responsible for teaching at a school(s) or at our workshop locations within the GTA (all locations are mid-town Toronto and close to TTC).

You will arrive on time, help set up the room and equipment, take attendance and be responsible for teaching and inspiring the kids in a safe environment.


  • You need to be reliable, responsible & organized (no last minute cancellations)

  • You have the confidence to teach, the patience to work with kids and the personality to make each session fun.

  • You’re a team player and eager to share your knowledge with others

  • You genuinely like kids! You are patient, good-tempered, and youthful in your attitude


  • YOU HAVE: solid communication skills and are comfortable sharing your knowledge with kids of various ages (from ages 4 - 14)

  • YOU LOVE: working with people, learning new things and are comfortable with technology (eg. tech toys, software programs) and are open to learning new things

  • BONUS SKILLS: coding experience may include: beginner coding programs such as Scratch/Scratch Jr (tablet), Swift, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, app-making, etc.

  • MUST HAVE: experience working with kids or teaching youth

MANDATORY: vulnerable sector police checks for all hires. You will also receive onsite training on working with children.

** Training will be provided for both working with children and teaching technology using our program curriculum.**

'Lizard Leader'

(aka Administrative Coordinator & Team Support)

Codezilla needs a part time (7-10 hours per week, with opportunity for more hours) Administrative Coordinator (‘Lizard Leader’) to help manage and support our team. 100% work from home opportunity.

- Proactive, self-starter, responsible and organized. Requires minimal direction and hand-holding (You get it. You just do it) 

- Able to work independently (this is 100% remote - email and phone check ins) with possibility of monthly meet up over coffee to review goals

- Committed to smooth running of operations: ensure that programs are booked, staff are scheduled to work and programs are running efficiently.

- Is able to suggest improvements to operations and admin (and then help make them happen!)

- Great customer service: we are a 'high touch' community-based business that interacts with kids, parents, Parent Council volunteers, school admins

- Confident in helping to lead the process and in updating the team, knowing that your ideas and suggestions are welcome.

- Bonus Points: familiar with children’s programs, schools, summer camps, etc in Toronto and wider GTA



- Solid Communication Skills (parent email enquiries, reply to basic sales enquiries, communicate with team of instructors) 

- Previous Administration, Operations or Project Management experience (career work or volunteer experience)

- Excellent attention to detail (e.g. you correctly note programs dates, start times, equipment needs) to ensure smooth running of workshops

- Comfortable working with software (Google Docs, Google Calendar, Slack, Asana, email automation software, email / text, etc)

- Can follow process documents efficiently and orderly without mis-steps (we have a multi-step process for schools, birthday parties and new hires)

- Able to respond to email 5-days a week (there's no "weekend work", but the role requires email/text check in M-F while school programs are running)

- Help with hiring of new instructors: post help wanted ads, review resumes, phone interviews, email job offers (2-3x a year)


Compensation includes competitive starting rate + raise after 3 months. Plus free workshops for your kids (ages 4-14).

About Us: 

Codezilla ( has introduced '000s of kids in Toronto (Kindergarten - Grade 8) to coding and STEM education: in school, after school, at camps and birthday parties. Our goal is to provide 'monster-sized' tech skills to kids by delivering educational fun! We’ve worked with 35+ schools and daycares in the past 2 years. We want to roll-out our program to more schools, to more kids, in more locations!
